SUCCESS STORY
COLONOSCOPY TIP SHEETS
OVERVIEW
Five different tip sheets for colonoscopy preparation in six different languages serving up to 120,000 patients per year.
-
Arranged action items in a “checklist” format
-
Eliminated the text-heavy, redundant FAQ page
-
Made medication information easier to find and read (in table format rather than paragraphs)
-
Added more complete and accurate diabetes medication instructions
-
Made the tip sheet instructions more closely resemble web instructions to ensure consistency
Example
Colonoscopy Preparation: Color is kept to a minimum (two colors), orange color guides the eye along to main topics. Information imported as a table from MS Word, cell borders removed, and shading is used instead to subtly define sections of text. Cell borders, when used, are thicker at the perimeter to help quickly define boundaries, interior cell weights are thinnest to reduce monotony for the eye.
